Paracanthurus hepatus with white underbelly
Description : Hello

all the Paracanthurus hepatus in Pulau Weh, NW Indonesia have these white underbellies. Anyone know the reason? Season (April), gender, different species ?

p.s. I see Fishbase has a user photo "France, Aquarium specimen, Indian Ocean morph, by Muséum-Aquarium de Nancy - D. Terver" with similar coloration ; I also found an aquarium site that called it "Yellow Belly Blue Regal Hippo Tang Africa ", so I guess it is a geographical variation, yes?
(pps you can have my photo if you like)

I have now checked with some people in the Andaman Islands (Indian Territory, 700km NNW from Pulau Weh) and theirs are blue all over, so the "Indian Ocean Variant" hypothesis seems questionable
